THE STRANGERS

Christian McCay (Liv Tyler) and James Hoyt (Scott Speedman) possibly did not think will experience the night that really will not be forgotten by them all their life this. And the film was entitled THE STRANGERS this was one of the films that used the same trick. Many that speculated that the tense film garapan the director Bryan Bertino this was inspired by the true story that was known with the Manson Murder. Because of few problems, the film that was finished shooting this 2007 finally just was circulated by Rogue Pictures late last May 2008.

If being seen, in fact, none was new from this film. For fifty last years of many films thriller that also carried the same theme although of course not be the same precisely. When you have seen the FUNNY GAMES film that began to be circulated last March 2008, Anda will definitely see many similarities between this film and THE STRANGERS this. Love the actual idea has been strong enough this was not matched with casting that a border. Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman could not put forward a quite convincing performance. Unfortunately again, the text did not give their opportunity of digging up the character more in and results, was not strong enough to make the spectator feel compassion to the two main leading figures. In fact one of the keys to the film to the success from the kind like this was during the spectator to feel most washed away and to feel pity with the leading figure of the protagonist.

In fact from the side of the taking of the picture, this film was adequate enough. The use of the camera camcorder to simulate the view from the player's point of view really quite effective injected the horrified feeling to the spectator. This trick indeed gave the effect of the spectator appeared to be involved in the film that was watched by them. But, in this film, that was not enough to give the effect suspense because of the director broke to often highlighted the 'movement of the' terrorists' that his impact was still eliminating the available surprise. But when in view of the fact that this was the first film made by Bryan Bertino, and the reality that he was still being not young enough then all the mistakes apparently still could be understood.
