Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (UK: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) is seventh and final book of Harry Potter series of novels by J. K. Rowling.

Translation in the Indonesian language version will be published in hardcover and softcover versions, each on 13 and 26 January 2008.Previously, the English version of Deathly Hallows, was launched simultaneously worldwide in 93 countries , on July 21, 2007, one minute after midnight (00:01), British Summer Time.

The title of this book was published on December 21, 2006 through Rowling's website and confirmed shortly afterwards by the publisher.Rowling has said that the last series was attributed to the previous book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which he said "almost like two part of a novel ". Rowling left a signed statement, written on a marble bust at the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, which states;

"JK Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this room (652) on January 11, 2007."

In his website on February 6, 2007, Rowling stated

"Although I love every previous Potter book, 'Deathly Hallows' is my favorite, and this is a very nice way to finish this series."

This book received the title best-seller on Amazon and Barnes and Noble just a few hours after its release date was announced.

Leaving the Dursley house

Harry Potter entered the age of 17 years where he attained the age of adulthood in a world of magic. Before the age of 17, Harry was protected from Voldemort during his stay at the Dursleys who have blood ties with him. By entering the age of maturity, the spell will be lifted by itself and requires Harry to protect himself.

On information from Severus Snape, Lord Voldemort and his followers will find information about the lifting of the spell of this protection and plan to ambush Harry when he would leave the Dursleys. Voldemort also looking for a new magic wand that can solve Harry's wand. Shortly before Harry's protection spell ends, the Dursleys secured to undisclosed locations, and some members of the Order of the Phoenix arrive to escort Harry to a safe place. Six men posing as Harry, but Harry was the original caught on the way and attacked by Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Harry managed to escape into the Weasley family home, the Burrow, but Hedwig and Mad-Eye Moody was killed in battle.

A few days later, the Minister of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour arrives at the residence of the Weasley's and Dumbledore gave to their legacy: Deluminator to Ron (tools such as lighters that can be put out / turn on the light); children's story book witch for Hermione, and for Harry, the sword of Godric Gryffindor and Harry caught the Snitch first in his first Quidditch match. However, the sword of Gryffindor was detained by the Ministry of Magic, because the ministry believes that the sword was not Dumbledore's. Later, the Snitch it appears a guide written by Dumbledore: "I opened the lid" (English: "I open at the close"). Although all three have to find out why Dumbledore left them each of these objects, they believe that these objects were meant somehow to help them find [Horcrux]-Horcrux Voldemort.

In the wedding reception Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour, of Kingsley Shacklebolt's Patronus appears with a warning that the Ministry of Magic has fallen and the Death Eaters were come to them. Harry, Ron, and Hermione escape with berdisapparate, and finally took refuge in the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix who had been abandoned at number twelve Grimmauld Place, Harry's house inherited from Sirius Black. In this house, Harry finds that turned out to younger Sirius, Regulus was killed by Voldemort, has a name initials of Regulus Arcturus Black is synonymous with "RAB" ie people who take Salazar Slytherin locket Horcrux from the cave hidden seafront. [HP6] Hermione remembered seeing a locket amongst Kreacher's possessions, a house elf in the place. The three companions fled. They did not succeed to open let alone destroy the locket, and took turns wearing the locket to guard it. They also found out that the sword "Dumbledore's heritage" which is actually held by the ministry of artificial swords, and that the sword of Gryffindor aslilah that can destroy the Horcrux, Horcrux. Harry wants to find the sword, but Ron, who worried about the security of the family and was disappointed that Harry did not have any plan of Dumbledore, leaving Harry and Hermione. Both later went to Godric's Hollow to find that sword. There, they were ambushed by Voldemort and Nagini. When they managed to escape, Hermione accidentally breaks Harry's wand.

In the Forest of Dean, Harry sees a Patronus shaped female deer near where they camped. Patronus that took him to an icy pond containing the sword of Gryffindor. When Harry tried to dive into the pond ice to take the sword, the locket Horcrux was wearing suddenly tighten and tried to strangle her neck. Ron, who uses Deluminator to find Harry and Hermione, arrived and managed to save Harry from drowning in the pool, take the sword, and then managed to destroy the locket. Ron and Hermione warns Harry that Voldemort's name has now become dimanterai Tabu - so that those who dare mention that name will cause the hiding place will be revealed ..

The three friends went to visit Xenophilius Lovegood, Luna's father, to inquire about the symbols they had seen the tattoo Xenophilius and the same symbol with a symbol that is in the children's book of Hermione. Lovegood stated that the symbol is the symbol of the Deathly Hallows (the Deathly Hallows), three legendary objects that conquer death: the Elder wand (the Elder Wand), the Resurrection Stone (Sorcerer Stone), and the Invisibility Cloak. When the sword of Gryffindor found among their possessions, Bellatrix Lestrange suspects that they had stolen into his storage area in the Bank Gringott. Bellatrix torturing Hermione for information. Petter Pettigrew descend underground to investigate the noise and strangle Harry, who warned that Pettigrew owed his life to him. Ron while Harry defeat Bellatrix disarm and take Draco's wand. Dobby reappears, and the four berapparate to Bill and Fleur Weasley's home. Shortly before they disappeared, Bellatrix throws a knife and fatally penetrate the body Dobby.

At the residence of Bill, Ollivander confirms the Elder Wand's existence. He also revealed that a magic wand can choose to switch to a new host if the owner is defeated or disarmed. Bellatrix actions convince three friends was that there was another Horcrux is hidden in the Lestrange vault. With the help Griphook, they entered Gringotts and managed to take another Horcrux, Helga Hufflepuff Cup. Griphook steal the sword of Gryffindor, because it assumes that the sword actually belonged to the Goblin, and three friends managed to run the Cup Horcrux. With this incident, Voldemort, who managed to steal the Elder Wand from Dumbledore's tomb, fully aware that Harry Potter and his friends are looking for and destroy Horcruxes-Horcruxnya. Inadvertently, thought Harry connect with Voldemort's mind that reveals that there is one more Horcrux hidden at Hogwarts. Harry soon realizes that this is a Horcrux at Hogwarts Crown Rowena Ravenclaw.

In Hogsmeade, Aberforth Dumbledore to help Harry, Ron, and Hermione to sneak into Hogwarts. Harry warned his faculty of Hogwarts that Voldemort is coming soon invade. Order of the Phoenix, Laskar Dombledore, students, and many alumni of Hogwarts arrived there when the followers of Voldemort's attack arrived. This battle takes a lot of casualties, among them are Fred Weasley, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, and Colin Creevey. While the search for Horcruxes Crown Harry, Ron and Hermione enter the Chamber of Secrets to retrieve Basilisk fangs of snakes that used to be killed by Harry. [HP2] Hermione uses it to destroy Horcruxes canine Hufflepuff Cup. In that search, Harry then remembered that he had seen it in the Crown Room of Requirement. In that room, all three were attacked by Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle. Crabbe Fiendfyre use a powerful spell which even kill himself and destroy the crown.

Harry's mind to connect with Voldemort's mind again, and all three immediately went to the Shrieking Shack. They heard Voldemort told Snape that the Elder Wand can not be used with either because Snape has become the master of the wand that after Snape killed the owner of Sticks it before, Albus Dumbledore. [HP6] Voldemort kills Snape convinced that with the stick it will be his completely. He ordered Nagini to kill Snape, and then go to Hogwarts. When Snape was in dying, he gives Harry his memory. This memory is later revealed that Snape, although not completely well, was loyal to Dumbledore, motivated by love of his life to Harry's mother, Lily Potter. Dumbledore, whose life was not long about it anymore due to a curse from Gaunt ring Horcrux, had ordered Snape to kill Dumbledore if necessary, to protect the role of Snape in Order of the Phoenix and also to replace Voldemort Draco Malfoy, who was assigned to kill the head of school. Snape is also sending a female deer Patronus that led Harry to Gryffindor's sword. Memory was also revealed that Harry himself is a Horcrux - Voldemort is not going to be killed as long as Harry is still alive.

Resigned to his fate, Harry goes alone to the Forbidden Forest where Voldemort was waiting. In that trip, Harry finds clues from Snitch, who opened and in it there is the Resurrection Stone. Harry call the spirits of his parents, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, who compose and accompany him to where Voldemort. He then let Voldemort's curse, Avada Kedavra, about himself. Harry woke up in a place like in another world and not sure if he was alive or dead. Albus Dumbledore appears and explains that part of Voldemort's soul residing within Harry has been destroyed by the curse of the killer. He explained also that just as Voldemort can not be killed while still remaining part of his soul, then Harry also can not be killed while his blood is still flowing in Voldemort's body. Harry, who succeeded in "beating death" by uniting the three Deathly Hallows, have the option to "leave the world" or return to live in the world.

Harry chose to live again, but he pretended to have been killed. Voldemort sent Hagrid to bring Harry to Hogwarts as a sign of victory. When the battle heats up again, Harry was wearing the Invisibility Cloak. Neville pulled the sword of Gryffindor from the Sorting Hat and managed to chop off the head of Nagini, destroying the last Horcrux. Hogsmeade village residents, the Centaurus from the woods, and the Hogwarts house-elves join the battle against the Death Eaters, who began to turn losing superior in number. Inside the castle, McGonagall, Kingsley, and Slughorn duel against Voldemort, while Ginny, Hermione, and Luna against Bellatrix Lestrange. When a curse assassins almost about Ginny, Molly Weasley plunge into battle, pushing the girls away, and with a fierce battle with Bellatrix. He managed to kill Bellatrix with charms. Harry shows itself again and challenge Voldemort. Harry managed to conclude that Voldemort is not the true owner of the Elder Wand. When Draco Malfoy disarmed Dumbledore on the Astronomy Tower, Draco unknowingly became the owner of the Elder Wand, and when Harry later took Draco's wand after the defeat, he himself became the new owner of the Elder Wand true. Assassins Curse Voldemort threw at Harry who countered with a Spells Harry Disarmament; but the Elder Wand protects its master so that Voldemort's curse bounced off and turned around to kill Voldemort himself.

After the battle ended, Harry went to Dumbledore's painting. He told that he will keep the Invisibility Cloak, but to prevent the three Deathly Hallows it back together, the Resurrection Stone will be left in place he fell in the Forbidden Forest, and the Elder Wand will be returned to the tomb of Dumbledore. If Harry will die without undefeated, then the power of the Elder Wand will be extinguished along with his death. Painting Dumbledore nodded his approval. Before putting the Elder Wand back to the tomb, Harry use it to fix a broken wand himself, because he felt more comfortable using his own wand.

Nineteen years later, Harry has married Ginny Weasley, and they have three children named James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. Ron and Hermione are also married and has two children, Rose and Hugo. The families had met in King's Cross Station, where Albus will enter his first year at Hogwarts school. James, their first child, had to go to school at Hogwarts, while Lily was about to go to Hogwarts two years later.

Harry's godson who was nineteen years old, Teddy Lupin, Victoire Weasley found passed (Bill and Fleur's daughter) in one compartment of the train. Teddy seems very close to the Potters, with Harry's words, "He has come to have dinner together four times a week."

Harry also saw Draco Malfoy and his wife along with their son, Scorpius. Malfoy nodded briefly to Harry, then leave.

Harry calm Albus, who feared going into Slytherin. told him that Severus Snape, from which the name of Severus was taken, was a Slytherin and he was the most daring ever met. Harry was also leaked that the Sorting Hat would follow one's choice.

Neville Longbottom has become the Herbology teacher and good friends with Harry.

The book ends with the disclosure that Harry's scar has never been sick again for nineteen years since the Prince of Darkness was defeated, and everything went well.
