Man of the House 2005

Man of the House is a 2005 comedy crime film starring Tommy Lee Jones as a Texas Ranger given the task protecting a group of cheerleaders, who have witnessed a murder. Much of the movie was shot in Austin, Texas on the University of Texas campus. The film co-stars Christina Milian, Heather Hays, Monica Keena and Cedric the Entertainer as a criminal turned reverend. Texas Governor Rick Perry has a cameo appearance in the film as himself. The movie is rated PG-13 for violence, sexual content, crude humor, and a drug reference.

At the beginning of the movie, two Texas rangers, Roland Sharp (Tommy Lee Jones) and his partner Maggie Swanson (Liz Vassey), are going to a church in order to question Percy Stevens (Cedric the Entertainer) about the whereabouts of his former prison roommate Morgan Ball, who they want to testify against organized crime boss John Cortlin. Percy is indignant, telling them he is a "man of God" and hasn't spoken with Ball in years. However, his cell phone rings, displaying Ball's name. Sharp and his partner track down Ball to a warehouse, where Ball gives Sharp a key in an attempt to buy him off. Instead, Sharp takes the key and forces Ball outside, where FBI agent Eddie Zaine (Brian Van Holt) is waiting. As they talk, a sniper begins shooting, wounding Swanson and giving Ball a chance to escape. It is revealed the sniper is after Ball, and a group of cheerleaders from the University of Texas witness Ball's murder. Agent Zaine is found shot in the arm next to Ball's body and claims he didn't see the sniper.

Anne (Christina Milian), Teresa (Paula Garcés), Evie (Monica Keena), Heather (Vanessa Ferlito) and Barb (Kelli Garner) are taken to the police station, where they all have conflicting descriptions of the shooter, frustrating Sharp to no end. He is given the task of protecting the girls at all times, because their fathers are worried about them. The information is relayed to him by the Governor of Texas (Rick Perry makes a cameo as himself). It is revealed that Sharp is divorced and has a daughter, Emma (Shannon Marie Woodward) who is in high school and doesn't feel as though her father had ever been around. It is also revealed that John Cortlin has been exonerated from all charges pressed on him due to a lack of evidence, and that FBI Agent Zaine is working with him, having killed Ball and shot himself in the arm. Cortlin scolds Zaine for letting some "loose ends" escape, and Zaine begins searching for Sharp and the cheerleaders.

With Swanson in the hospital recovering from her near-fatal wound, Sharp and two additional rangers must now pick the girls up from school and secure their sorority house. Sharp moves in with the girls and the two young men with him move into the fraternity house across the street, where they end up busting a drug deal.

Sharp sets some ground rules, including no cell phones. He also tells them to "cover up in his presence" referring to the girls' revealing clothes. When they refuse, he orders an air conditioner, forcing them to dress warmly. Sharp is posing as a cheerleading coach specializing in conditioning, and at a football game he tackles an opposing team's mascot when the mascot approaches the girls with a gun, later revealed to be a water gun. Other humorous mishaps occur, but Sharp's relationship with the girls begins to strengthen; indeed, Barb begins to develop a crush on him. However, Sharp finds himself attracted to Barb's English teacher Molly (Anne Archer) who calls him into her office to complain about Barb's plagiarism. Later he invites her over for dinner, which the girls coach him through using an earpiece and tiny video screen. He shortly turns it off and woos Molly himself, though. He admits to the girls about his last failed marriage and the way he feels about his estranged daughter. This interests Evie, who has a 4.0 GPA and wants to write a paper on Emma. She uses the houses "emergency phone" to call her, revealing Sharp's location to Zaine, who had contacted Emma.

Sharp takes the girls to a "spirit rally" where he is forced to give a speech about cheerleading. He becomes more and more impassioned, proving to the girls he finally "gets it." The night is ruined, however, when Sharp realizes somebody put a bomb on their car, and Teresa (who was convinced that nobody was after them) is almost killed when her seatbelt gets stuck. Sharp saves her and she admits that maybe someone is trying to kill them. Evie tells Sharp she contacted Emma, and when Sharp calls his daughter he learns that Zaine has her. He tells Sharp to take the key Ball gave him in the beginning of the movie to open a lockbox, both of them unaware the cheerleaders are listening in. The next day Sharp gets the money out of the lockbox and drives to where Zaine instructs him. Zaine gives Sharp instructions over a cell phone, telling him he will shoot Emma if Sharp disobeys. After Sharp handcuffs himself to the steering wheel, Zaine thanks him and tells him he's a "good parent." Zaine takes off with the money, Sharp's keys and phone, and Emma. Zaine and Emma get on a bus, but as it pulls away Sharp sees Barb in the back. As he wonders what's going on, Heather gets in the car with him and hot-wires it. They take off after the bus. On the bus, Teresa pretends to go into labor and Evie demands the bus be stopped. She attempts to steal the bag with the money, but Zaine pulls a gun and evacuates the bus. Emma is rescued by the cheerleaders, and Sharp shoots Zaine's gun out of his hand before Zaine can enter Mexico. He and Emma are reunited. At the end of the movie Molly and Sharp are married by Percy. Emma and the cheerleaders are a part of the service.

Red Water

Red Water is a 2003 made for television horror film starring Lou Diamond Phillips, Kristy Swanson and Coolio.

The film originally aired on the Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) in August 2003, and became one of the highest-rated movies in the station's history. Directed by Charles Robert Carner and produced by Michael G. Larkin and Mitch Engel, the film tells the story of a bull shark which wreaks havoc as it makes its way up a river in Louisiana.

The production built three different sharks to depict the single bull shark in the movie. One of those became the first free-swimming animatronic shark ever used in a motion picture.

In an homage, the film uses the same Louisiana license plate Hooper pulls from a shark's stomach in Jaws (1975).

An oil rig hits it big and former oiler John Sanders (who quit when a blowout occurred on a rig he was the boss of and four men died) and his friend Emery are hired to take his ex-wife Kelly and her boss to the location. Nearby, some thugs do diving for stolen goods that were dumped nearby. Unfortunately, at the same time, a bull shark enters the river and starts terrorizing and killing people. Emery's people, a local tribe, believe that the shark is a spirit that supposedly protects the area where the well is manifested in physical form as vengeance for the oil rig. Several people are killed by it and an attempt by locals to kill it drives it right back up the river, towards the oil rig. As a result of all the deaths, a $10,000 reward is posted for the shark's death. Unfortunately John, Emery, Kelly and her boss are captured by the goons and the boss is shot in the leg and ultimately bleeds to death. The oil rig has a blowout and two men are killed and the shark shows up. John and Kelly are forced to dive for the loot and recover it, but one of the bad guys kills another one in order to keep the money between himself and the other one. John manages to escape from the goons and after helping Kelly and Emery escape, blows up his boat, killing one of the goons. The other one is killed by the shark attempting to retrieve the money. John manages to lure the shark under the oil rig and Emery activates the dril and drils it into the shark's mouth, finally killing it. John, Kelly and Emery have a tooth from the shark as proof of their kill (the shark bit John in the foot and a tooth broke off that he retrieved) and debate whether or not to collect the reward, but Emery, still believing the shark is a spirit in physical form, suggests that now that its dead they should just let it rest in peace and John tosses the tooth into the river. Minutes later they're found by the local sherrif who shows up in a helicopter to check on them.

Plot

After returning home from Iraq, former Marine John Triton (Cena) and his wife Kate (Carlson) decide to take a vacation. Meanwhile, criminal mastermind Rome (Robert Patrick) robs a jewelry store with his accomplices: his attractive girlfriend Angela (Abigail Bianca), Morgan (Parker), Vescera (Gibson), and Bennett (Bennett). While running from the cops, they stop at a gas station, where John and Kate have stopped as well. When a patrol car arrives to fill up, Morgan shoots one and Rome injures the other. After Bennett knocks John out with a fire extinguisher, Kate is kidnapped. Morgan shoots at the gas tanks, causing the store to blow up with John inside. John survives, emerging to take the abandoned patrol car. He gives chase, with every single member of the gang shooting at him. They go through a construction area, and to the edge of a lake. Under heavy fire, John falls out the car and into the lake.

The criminals decide to travel through the swamps to avoid the police, still with Kate as their hostage. John revives and, despite an officer's lack of permission, pursues them. After an altercation between Morgan and Vescera to show how crazy Morgan is, Rome decides that they have no further use for Vescera and shoots him, leaving the body for the alligators. Kate gets into heated arguments with the group, Angela especially, who strikes Kate whenever she insults her or tries to escape.

The criminals eventually arrive at a shack and rest there for the time being. Triton gets delayed when some fugitives attack him. He subdues them both and tracks the gang to the lodge. He arrives and kills Morgan, who was sent out to turn on the electricity, with a knife that Vescera dropped when he was killed. He then kills Bennett when he goes out to check on Morgan, beating him down and stomping on his neck. As he drags the bodies under the shack, the police officer he met earlier "grants" him further permission to do what he must and turns off the electricity for a distraction.

Kate takes advantage of this and rushes out of the building, only to be pursued and captured by Angela. John crashes through the window and meets Rome for the first time in his journey. The cop also enters the room and points his gun at John, revealing himself to be working with Rome the whole time (and thus the mystery individual Rome tried to cut out of the deal in an earlier phone call). Rome open fires at Triton, but he uses the corrupt cop (V.B.) as a human shield. Rome makes his escape and joins up with Angela and the still captured Kate before firing at a gasoline tank and destroying the shack. John makes a narrow escape out the window.

Rome takes V.B.'s car and drives off, but because of the police monitor, they have to abandon it, and Angela hitchhikes and shoots a truck driver for a trailer-less cab. John is arrested by an officer in a boat and steals the vessel after handcuffing the officer, heading for Rita's Marina (the destination he heard the criminals speaking of earlier). John arrives and sees the truck cab, jumping onto the back. He then he sees a bus heading the opposite direction and runs along the running board to the passenger seat where he opens the door, grabs Angela by the neck, and throws her into the bus's windshield, killing her and spilling the diamonds. Rome then knocks John off the truck by driving into the side of a building and careens through a warehouse, leaping out before the truck crashes through a window into the lake beyond. Triton confronts him in the fiery warehouse and thinks he kills Rome by burying him in debris after a vicious battle. He rushes to rescue his wife, who is handcuffed inside the sinking truck cab, dragging her from the water and administering CPR successfully. A badly-burned Rome returns and chokes him with a chain. John turns the tables and breaks Rome's neck with the chain and the scene ends with John and Kate kissing.

Hard Target Film

Hard Target is a 1993 American action film directed by Chinese director John Woo. The film stars Jean-Claude Van Damme as Chance Boudreaux, an out of work Cajun merchant seaman who saves the young woman Natasha Binder (Yancy Butler) from a gang of thugs in New Orleans. Chance learns that Binder is searching for her missing father (Chuck Pfarrer), and agrees to aid Binder in her search. Boudreaux and Binder soon learn that Binder's father has died at the hands of wealthy sportsman Emil Fouchon who hunts homeless men as a form of recreation.

Hard Target was the John Woo's first American film and was also the first film made in Hollywood by a Chinese director. Universal Pictures was nervous on having Woo direct a feature, and sent in director Sam Raimi to look over the film's production and to take Woo's place as director if he were to fail. Woo went through several scripts finding mostly martial arts films which he wasn't interested in. After deciding on Chuck Pfarrer's script for Hard Target, Woo wanted to have actor Kurt Russell in the lead role but found Russell too busy with other projects. Woo then went with Universal Studios initial choice of having Jean-Claude Van Damme star. Woo got along with Van Damme during filming and raised the amount of action in the film as he knew that Van Damme was up for it.

After 65 days of filming in New Orleans, John Woo had trouble with the Motion Picture Association of America to secure the R rating that Universal Pictures wanted. Woo made dozens of cuts to the film until the MPAA allowed it an R rating. On its initial release, Hard Target was a financial success but received poor reviews film critics. Critics found Hard Target to have good action scenes but noted the weak script and poor quality acting from Jean-Claude Van Damme.

In New Orleans, a homeless veteran named Douglas Binder (Chuck Pfarrer) runs through the dark streets of the city fleeing from a group of mercenaries led by Emil Fouchon (Lance Henriksen). With hunter Fouchon and his henchman Stephan (Sven-Ole Thorsen) and Peterson (Jules Sylvester) in pursuit, Binder reaches the docks by the river where he is suddenly shot and killed by a businessman named Mr. Lopaki (Bob Apisa) who had paid $500,000 for the opportunity to hunt a human. Fouchon's lieutenant Pik van Cleaf (Arnold Vosloo) leans over the dead man and slices off his belt, which contains the money Binder would have won if he eluded the hunters. The next day, Binder's daughter Natasha (Yancy Butler) drives into a rough area of New Orleans to search for her estranged father and is attacked by a group of thugs. A homeless man saves her by defeating the thugs with his martial arts prowess. Natasha later finds the homeless man who is introduced as Chance Boudreaux (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and asks for his help in searching for her father. Chance is initially hesitant to involve himself, but as his merchant seaman union dues are in arrears he reluctantly allows Natasha to hire him as her guide and bodyguard during her search. Meanwhile, Chance's homeless friend Elijah Roper is also hunted and killed by Fouchon's hunting party after trying to get help from a pedestrian (Ted Raimi) to no avail.

Natasha discovers that her father was living homeless in the New Orleans waterfront area and that he did work for a seedy recruiter named Randal (Eliott Keener). Randal has been secretly supplying homeless men with war experience and no family ties for Fouchon to hunt. When Natasha questions Randal in his office, the recruiter avoids her questions as the leering Van Cleaf watches them. New Orleans police then inform her that Natasha's father's charred body was discovered in a derelict house that went up in flames. Although his death was ruled accidental, Chance searches the smoldering ruins and finds Binder's dog tag that has been pierced by a projectile. Van Cleaf's thugs ambush Chance and beat him unconscious. When Chance recovers, he tells the police about the dog tag, prompting the investigating officer Mitchell (Kasi Lemmons) to order a new autopsy. Unfortunately, the medical examiner is on Fouchon's payroll and tips him off about the investigation.

Van Cleaf and Fouchon decide to relocate their hunting business and begin eliminating "loose ends", including the medical examiner and Randal who they murder outside his office. Mitchell, Nat and Chance arrive moments later and are ambushed by Van Cleaf and several of his men. During the shootout Mitchell is shot and killed, while Chance and Nat narrowly escape. As Fouchon and Van Cleaf assemble their mercenary team, Chance leads Natasha to his uncle Douvee's (Wilford Brimley) house deep in the bayou. Chance kills the mercenary gunman one by one, including Van Cleaf. In the end, only, Fouchon is left, but he holds Chance at bay by taking Natasha hostage. Chance charges and attacks him with a flurry of blows and then detonates a grenade, killing him.

The Blair Witch Project

The Blair Witch Project is an American horror film released in 1999. The narrative is presented as a documentary pieced together from amateur footage. The film was produced by the Haxan Films production company.

The film relates the story of three young student filmmakers (Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard, and Michael C. Williams) who hike into the Black Hills of Burkittsville, Maryland to film a documentary about a local legend known as the Blair Witch, and subsequently go missing. The viewer is told that the three were never found, although their video and sound equipment (along with most of the footage they shot) was discovered a year later. This "recovered footage" is presented as the film the viewer is watching.

A sequel to The Blair Witch Project was released on October 27, 2000 entitled Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2. A second sequel was planned for the following year, but did not materialize.

Film students Heather Donahue, Michael Williams and Joshua Leonard go missing in October 1994 while making a documentary about the Blair Witch, a legendary creature believed to haunt the woods near Burkittsville, Maryland. They disappear soon after, and their bodies are never found. A year later, the footage the students shot has been recovered, and the film in its entirety is composed of fragments of that footage.

Shot in a mixture of color and black and white, with shaky handheld camera movements and only natural lighting, the footage includes material that was intended to be used in the documentary, but the bulk of the film shows the experience of the three students as they wander through the woods. Occasionally, the view switches out to a kind of "mood footage" (footage of no characters, just video of the environment) while the audio track continues.

Soon after setting out, they become hopelessly lost; their situation worsens when Michael, in frustration, kicks their only map of the area into the river without telling the others. Over a period of several days, a number of terrifying, mysterious, and possibly supernatural events occur. In one scene, the crew hikes for more than half of the day only to end up in the same spot where they had started.

Much of the plot is open to the viewer's interpretation, including the finale; few concrete indications are given as to the eventual fate of the three filmmakers.

'Solstice', the Day of the meeting of two World

Cast: Elisabeth Harnois, Shawn Ashmore, Tyler Hoechlin, Amanda Seyfried, Matt O'Leary, Hilarie Burton, R. Lee Ermey...

Although six months have passed but Megan (Elisabeth Harnois still can not forget the terrible events as his twin brother died of suicide. This makes the fourth friend of Megan, Megan felt the need to comfort him by the holidays.

Megan finally relented and agreed to come with Christian (Shawn Ashmore), Zoe (Amanda Seyfried), Mark (Matt O'Leary) and Alicia (Hilarie Burton) on holiday at a lake in Louisiana. Vacation time that they chose was a turning point in the day where the sun during the day becoming longer than usual.

The people believe that in today's world of magic is very close to the human world and therefore sometimes there are people who can connect with people who have died in the day. It also experienced the feeling that Megan's twin brother tried to reach him since he arrived at the lake. Lately, Megan realized that trying to reach is not a twin but the other forces that tried to enter the world.

Rather difficult to call this movie called Solstice as a horror movie. Perhaps more appropriate is a drama movie about ghosts as such a concept first brought the movie GHOST. Solstice can not be categorized as a horror movie there is no element of 'surprise' that the main elements of a horror movie. In some scenes there is a little 'tension' which emerged but not strong enough to make it into a film that 'scarry'.

Scenes of horror film classics such as the radio, suddenly the car sounds or lights that lit-off may be intended to bring viewers into the tense atmosphere as it should. But such a classic scene that was balanced with elements of mystery and surprise is something that eventually becomes stale and futile. In the horror film on the market is that many, directors are required to produce something that remains 'fresh' and not get stuck on the general guidelines to make horror movies that have expired.

Finally, the Solstice is so a product that was wrong packaging. If this film was made with the basic concept of a drama, then maybe he better have more value. Supporters acting quite pleasing to the eye as from the production side, this film is quite good considering making funds are not too large.

The Hurt Locker, The story of a bomb squad team

Ever imagined a bomb squad stationed in Iraq? Risk their lives on the body to pieces if one cut the cable? Try this tension explored in the film The Hurt Locker. The film revolves around an elite team struggle the United States bomb squad, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), while on duty in the Iraq war.

They served to comb the area to pass U.S. soldiers from mines planted by Iraqi troops. This task is not easy because their boss becomes the victim while on duty. Lives of the soldiers changed when the new boss, Sergeant William James, played by Jeremy Renner was ignoring all the procedures to defuse the bomb.

Directed by Kathryn Bigelow exploit the detailed process of disabling the bomb scene, and the cars exploded and destroyed. To get the background of Iraq War, this film chose a place in Amman, Jordan after previously transferred from the U.S. military base in Kuwait for not getting permission.

In 21cineplex.com synopsis keselurahan mentioned in this film is worthy of respect, then no wonder that in 2008 won the Human Rights Film Network Award, SIGNIS Award, Sergio Trasatti Award, and the Young Cinema Award.

The Hurt Locker was written by Mark Boal, a freelance writer who has followed the U.S. bomb squad team. The plan, this film will be released in New York and Los Angeles, USA, on June 26, 2009 and in other places in July 2009.

THE HURT LOCKER : Thin boundary between Courage and Foolishness

Cast: Jeremy Renner, Ralph Fiennes, Guy Pearce, Anthony Mackie, Brian Geraghty, Christian Camargo, David Morse, Evangeline Lilly...

J.T. Sanborn (Anthony Mackie) and Owen Eldridge (Brian Geraghty) are two soldiers from the unit gegana team who served in Iraq in 2004. They both served to comb the area to pass the Americans to seek the possibility of mines planted by Iraqi troops.

THE HURT LOCKER

The task of this team is not an easy task. Sanborn and Eldrige can not make the slightest mistake or the lives of other people who will become victims. That was evident when their boss was one of the victims in their mission to do. But awareness of the importance of accuracy that quickly became something that no longer needed when the team is getting new leadership.

Unlike the previous boss, Sergeant William James (Jeremy Renner) is a soldier who was 'not normal'. James always act according to military standards rules is an act of reckless and irresponsible. James does not like to use robots to disarm mines and would rather jump straight into a minefield and disarm him with my bare hands. As subordinates, Sanborn and Eldridge can not do nothing but follow orders from superiors.

THE HURT LOCKER

With Mark Boal who had become a screenplay writer IN THE VALLEY OF elah Kathryn Bigelow, the director, trying to uncover the other side of the war with the film THE HURT LOCKER this. They both tried to see the war as something addictive and can make people addicted. On the other hand, Bigelow also showed that in conditions of war, sometimes initial motivation when left on the battlefield was no longer a problem. There was only one thing: survival.

Plot structure of this film requires a high concentration because there's hardly a clear plot. In fact, this sort of film is a collection of scenes that highlight the central figure in this film. There's no clear storyline. That there was a message tucked in between each scene is displayed by the 130-minute length movies this.

THE HURT LOCKER

Bigelow also tried not siding with one faction fighting. He was just trying to describe the condition of the central characters of this movie without having to make this movie a psychological analysis. He was just describing the situation experienced by the characters at that time without having to retreat to the back and highlight the past of each character.

In essence, THE HURT LOCKER is not a casual entertainment. Action and combat action only because it had to be there and not a major scene. To call it a lack of entertainment was probably right. So if you do not really want to look more closely at what the soldiers endured while in the battlefield, could be another film would be more interesting to watch.

Three Kings is a 1999 satirical war drama film written and directed by David O. Russell from a story by John Ridley about a gold heist in the style of Kelly's Heroes. It takes place during the 1991 Iraqi uprising against Saddam Hussein following the end of the first Persian Gulf War.

The film stars George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube and Spike Jonze. Film critic Roger Ebert described it as a "weird masterpiece, a screw-loose war picture that sends action and humor crashing head-on into each other and spinning off into political anger."[1] The film gets its name from the character Conrad's (Jonze) outburst: "We three kings be stealin' the gold...", a parody of the Christmas carol We Three Kings of Orient Are.

Plot

Outline

Three Kings revolves around four U.S. soldiers attempting to steal seized Kuwaiti gold bullion from the Iraqi bunkers. During their journey they become involved with a badly outgunned and desperate group of Iraqi Shia rebels who have risen against Saddam's regime but were abandoned by the Coalition. The film deals with the aftermath of George H. W. Bush's appeal to Iraqis to rise up against the tyranny, and the ensuing massacre as Saddam's loyalists put down the popular rebellion, killing many thousands of civilians.

Synopsis

The film opens with Sergeant First Class Troy Barlow (Wahlberg) shooting a surrendering Iraqi Regular Army soldier due to confusion over the rules of engagement following the end of the Gulf War. Although Private First Class Conrad Vig (Jonze) compliments him on the kill, Troy takes no pleasure in it. The two begin to disarm and search the surrendering Iraqi soldiers, and while forcibly subduing a resistant Iraqi officer they find a document hidden between his buttocks. The document appears to be a map, and Troy decides not to notify his commanding officer, instead taking the "Iraqi ass map" to Staff Sergeant Chief Elgin (Cube), a friend of his. While the three of them discuss the implications of their discovery they leave Specialist Walter Wogeman (Jamie Kennedy) to stand guard outside their tent.

Meanwhile, Major Archie Gates (Clooney), a Special Forces soldier in the same camp, is trading sex for stories with a journalist, Cathy Daitch (Greer), when he is interrupted by Adriana Cruz (Nora Dunn), the television reporter who has been assigned to Archie. Adriana tells Archie of the rumors of a secret map being discovered. Archie ditches Adriana and enters the tent of Troy, Conrad and Chief, against the protestations of Walter. Archie convinces the three soldiers that the document is a map of Saddam's bunkers, containing gold bullion stolen from Kuwait. They decide to steal the gold themselves and set off in search of it in a Humvee.

Using the cease-fire orders from President Bush, the Americans are able to raid and secure the bunkers without any bloodshed. There, among other goods plundered from Kuwait, they find the gold. As they are leaving they see a prisoner executed by the newly arrived Iraqi Republican Guard troops, and decide to abandon the plan to "grab the gold and go." They rescue a group of Iraqi prisoners including a local rebel leader and start a private mini-war against Saddam's loyalist soldiers.

After the firefight in the village and arrival of the Iraqi reinforcements, the Americans' vehicles are destroyed as they blunder into a minefield and the Iraqi soldiers capture Troy. A group of rebels rescue the remaining Americans and take them to their underground hideout. There, Conrad, Chief and Archie agree to help the rebels and their families reach the Iranian border, but not before they rescue Troy.

Meanwhile, Troy has been taken to an underground bunker. Placed in a room full of Kuwaiti cell phones, he manages to call his wife and tells her to report his location to the Army. His call is cut short when he is dragged out and transferred to an interrogation room. Electrical wires are placed around his ears, and an Iraqi intelligence officer, Captain Saïd (Saïd Taghmaoui), berates him about the hypocrisy of American involvement in the region. Troy is electric shocked several times, and finally forced to drink motor oil by Saïd, who had lost his family during the American bombing of Baghdad.

The group meet up with a band of Iraqi Army deserters who are willing to help them by selling them a fleet of luxury cars stolen from Kuwait. Among these vehicles was the Infiniti M30 Convertible, which was referenced throughout the movie by Chief. With these cars they go to the bunker to save Troy, and scare away most of its defenders by spreading the rumor that an enraged Saddam is coming to kill them. The Infiniti Convertible is blown up and after storming the bunker they free Troy, who spares the life of his torturer, as well as more Shi'ites held in a dungeon. Leaving the complex, they are attacked by an armed helicopter, which Chief destroys by throwing a Nerf ball rigged with explosives at it. During a shootout with a couple of returning Republican Guards, Troy and Conrad are shot. Conrad Vig dies, and Troy, suffering from a punctured lung, has a flutter valve placed on his chest to allow air to escape.

Archie then makes radio contact with Walter at base asking for a transport, offering the drivers $100,000 each. He then orders that each of the Shi'ites be given a bar of gold and the rest buried. Planning to help the Shi'ites escape, they make their way to the Iranian border, heavily guarded by government forces. After finally reaching the border they are stopped by the American soldiers and arrested. Archie finally offers the rest of the gold to the other Americans in exchange for letting the refugees through.

The movie closes stating that all of the soldiers were cleared of their charges thanks to Adriana Cruz's reporting. Archie and Chief now work as military advisers to action films, and Troy is the owner of a carpet store. The closing epilogue states that the stolen gold was returned to Kuwait, although the Kuwaitis reported some was missing.

The Lost Boy

The sequel is set in the shady surf city of Luna Bay, California, where vampires quickly dispatch anyone who crosses their path. Into this dark world arrive Chris Emerson and his younger sister, Nicole. Having just lost their parents in a car accident, the siblings move in with their eccentric Aunt Jillian and become new prey for the locals' way of life. When Nicole unwittingly falls for a local vampire, Chris must locate and destroy the gang's lifeline before his sister's transformation is complete; to do this Chris finds himself relying on the expertise of none other than Edgar Frog (Corey Feldman). Subtle references to characters from the original film, and cameos from returning actors offer homage to the Lost Boys legend and set a sinister tone of impending doom.

Bordertown

Cast: Jennifer Lopez, Antonio Banderas, Martin Sheen, Maya Zapata, Sônia Braga.

Ambition Lauren Adrian (Jennifer Lopez) as a reporter is to get the task to the front lines of battle in Iraq to cover this war. Unfortunately the editor, George Morgan (Martin Sheen) does not agree and send Adrian to a small town on the Mexican border.

Adrian was assigned to investigate some cases of unnatural deaths that occur in some women in the small town. Eva (Maya Zapata), one of the victims who survived, did not want to testify for fear of the perpetrators of rape and murder. But Adrian did not just want to get testimony from her course, she also wanted to catch the perpetrators although he had to be bait.

With the help of Alfonso Diaz (Antonio Banderas), an editor at a newspaper in the city, Adrian then tried to trap the perpetrators to pretend to be one of the women factory workers in the city. Unfortunately, without realizing this business makes a lot of lives at risk, including Diaz's life, the man who had become co-workers six years earlier.

Bordertown this film tries to pick a theme that is quite heavy political. Although not exactly a completely true story, but Gregory Nava, the director who also wrote this screenplay, this film based on a real incident that happened in Mexico. The characters in this film entirely fictional, but the idea of real story.

The idea picked up the story of political smells simply did not wrong but the problem in this film is precisely the lack of appropriate direction. Nava tried to combine political drama with a thriller that actually result in making the film loses its power. The combination of 'not common' Bordertown makes it even had no clear direction, a thriller or a political drama.

As a result, the fixed stars as the actor instead was wasted. The character played by Antonio Banderas, Martin Sheen and Sônia Braga feels less cultivated and Nava seems to only want to highlight the character played by Jennifer Lopez. Actually there's nothing wrong with this decision but to leave no tergarap supporting characters is not a wise decision.
The idea of linking a series of murder cases with policy North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) also seem unreasonable at all. Many other factors can be triggers this chain of evil and political speculation was taken Nava also did not make this movie feels so solid.
