The Lincoln Lawyer is the latest thriller film produced by Lionsgate. The film was directed by Brad Furman and produced by Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi, Sidney Kimmel, Richard, S. Wright, and Scott Steindorff. The film, written by John Romano is scheduled to be released on March 18, 2011. The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Marisa Tomei, Pell James, Mackenzie Aladjem, Margarita Levieva, Michaela Conlin, Michael Pare, Ryan Phillipe, John Leguizamo, Shea Whigham, William H. Macy, Michael Pena, Trace Adkins, and many other supporting artists.
Film core of the story is the conscience of a lawyer. This film tells about Mickey Haller (Matthew McConaughey) is a Lincoln Lawyer, not because he had a name for Lincoln but Lincoln Town Car is the workplace. Mickey was not a successful attorney, but at least his livelihood was able to finance the daily life of Mickey. Unfortunately, when a great opportunity to come, Mickey began to question the ethics of the work which he lived.
Unlike the majority of clients he can, the client this time is a son of a wealthy woman. Mickey had to defend a playboy named Louis roulette (Ryan Phillippe) who was accused of rape and attempted murder. At first, Mickey thought that Louis was a rich man who became the victim of blackmail as he often faced, and therefore he could not refuse this golden opportunity.
When Mickey started to handle the case and conduct investigations to find evidence to free Louis from the snare of law, lawyers began to doubt the honesty Louis. Soon alleged that this case has nothing to do with the murder case that had dealt with Mickey. The question, after years of never questioning right and wrong, whether this time Mickey was still able to maintain the principle that?
