The Mechanic

Jason Statham plays as Arthur Bishop, a 'Mechanic' aka assassin who does his job very neatly, in the film The Mechanic, released in 2011. Premeditated murder carried out with great detail, from how to kill that is not seen as murder, right down to how to escape from the scene. As an effective assassin, Bishop should be able to work without any emotion at all, one of the principles he held firm is never to kill for a motive (except if assigned), so that he can do his job like a regular job.

Work as a hitman to make Bishop guard so as not to have an emotional relationship with anyone. For the business needs of biological and artificial romance, Bishop to pay the expensive prostitute named Sara (Mini Anden). However, when receiving a task to finish off Harry McKenna (Donald Sutherland), boss and mentor in the business of this assassin, Bishop until the need to request a meeting with leaders of the company where he works, Dean Sanderson (Tony Goldwyn), to ensure that it is Harry's need to be killed . "" Lewis John Carlino, who became the author of the story of The Mechanic, really disappointed with the storyline of The Mechanic version of 1972 that eliminates plot homosexual relationship between Bishop and Steve. ""

The Mechanic is directed by Simon West does a remake of a remake of the movie, aka the same title in 1972, which starred Charles Bronson as Arthur Bishop and Jan-Michael Vincent, actor renowned as a pilot TV series Airwolf, as Steve McKenna. Lewis John Carlino, who became the author of the story of The Mechanic, really disappointed with the storyline of The Mechanic version of 1972 that eliminates plot homosexual relationship between Bishop and Steve, because in the era of the '70s was difficult to accept the gay theme. For version 2011, elements of a homosexual relationship is finally revealed, but not between Bishop with Steve, but between Burke (Jeff Chase) with Steve. Burke, mechanic of the rival group which is indeed a target to be removed, have a weakness against young men's sexual preferences, and Steve take advantage of this weakness to get close to Burke.

It is worth recognized Jason Statham action scenes and Ben Foster in this movie neatly and quite spectacular, complete with scenes of falling from a skyscraper to a car explosion. Suitable for fans of action movies. It's just that from the side of the story, nothing new and very generic. Sara's character seems to only exist just so that there are elements of sex and has no role in the film. This film is like a generic action movie that tells about the main character lunge kick enabled remarkable, with a cover story that is predictable.
